FLL Competitions

Team Steam hosts a FLL tournament at Lawrence High School annually. FLL is another competition that FIRST^® regulates. FLL stands for FIRST^®LEGO^® League, it is a competition for elementary and middle schoolers. We help organize, referee, and judge at the competitions. Our team makes up almost all the refs, and our most mentors judge. This helps the event run smoothly. Our team collaborates directly with the Kansas City region’s FIRST^® representative to organize and run the competition. We had 41 teams compete in this competition. We enjoy helping kids get introduced to FIRST^® and helping our community foster innovation. We believe that creativity and work ethic are good things to tech and practice, and our competition helps this be practiced by elementary and middle school students.
